Today was my seventh day of school. I had math again, but the professor told me that because I've taken more maths, I can go paint or draw during math. I'm a little worried, because I think I need the math classes for college applications. I'm going to talk with my mom to see what she says. After math, an administrator put us on a bus. I didn't know where we were going, but I accepted it. We attended a oratory contest. Ricardo, my gigantic friend, was one participant out of four students from different schools. The theme was immigration and childhood. Ricardo talked very powerfully, and it was very obvious that he was the best. The judges also realized this, and Ricardo won first place. MaiTe, whose name is María Teresa, made signs with the letters R-I-C-A-R-D-O and D-A-N-I-E-L-R-E-Y-E-S on them. It was very fun to shout "Daniel Reyes!" when they announced the winner. But the best thing of all was being able to leave at twelve-fifteen. The contest was in Ibarra, and so I got home at one, very early. However, I hope that that never happens in Otavalo, or Cotacachi, because I don't yet know how to use the buses very well.

283 more days.

I do know how to use the buses now! Yay! Thanks mom, for commenting. I don't have time right now to write you an email, because the internet café is closing early. Sorry. I'll write you later. Caio.

I don't think you need to worry about college apps and the classes you take. I mean, you need to take classes obviously, but dude, you're studying abroad. That's more important than whether you took 3 or 4 math credits.

Also can you teach me calculus? I'm around implicit differentiation right now and i've kind of got it, but I feel like i only have a superficial grasp of a lot of differentiation.

I know you obviously dont have time to teach me calc. im just saying.
